1) So far in the book a boy, Calder and Petra are starting to become friends. They are noticing the weird stuff happening in their lives. Not only do they find books they suspect people. The people are acting strange. The thief of the Lady Writing has given out three letters and the people have yet to know who they are. 2)I am wondering why Mrs.Hussy is acting strange since the Lady Writing has been stolen. If she stole the painting she is basically giving herself away to the students. I am also wondering if the lady that showed up in Petra's dream was trying to tell her something, and that's how they find the information out about the painting. If not was the dream just to get the whole investigation started. 3)My character I picked was Calder. He is adventurist. He was curious when he she Petra at a book store. He was questioning weather or not his teacher was telling the truth about the old lady falling. Now he is finding the real facts out. He is adventuring to old lady houses, and the book store.
1. After reading pages 61-112 I learned that a piece of art work was stolen while in transport form Washington D.C. 2. Who stole the art work? Why was it going to the art institute in Chicago? 3. I think that Calder is curios because he wants to find out who stole the art work and why.

There is a painting called The Lady Writing and it was delivered missing! Calder and Petra just found out that it was gone and they want to be the ones to find it. 2) I wonder if Ms. Hussey has anything to do with the painting? I also wonder if they are gonna find the person who took the painting? 3) I think Petra is the leader of this "project". I say this because she is determined to find the painting. She also seems mysterious and outgoing.
So far in the section of the book Chasing Vermeer we have been assigned to read, Petra has become friends with Calder. Calder recognizes a name in Petras book. The name is Mrs. Sharpe, Calder was on his daily rounds and stopped by Mrs. Sharpe's house. Calder starts talking "about" the book with Mrs. Sharpe and she invites Petra and Calder over for tea to talk about it. A couple days after was Halloween and Petra dressed up as a women she saw in her dream. The weird thing was that this woman was Vermeer and she had never seen her. This was strange and there are many other strange things happening so they start a list of all the strange things that have been going on.
Two questions I have is 1.)How did Petra dream about Vermeer when she has never seen her before. 2.)What will be over for Petra's parents, when her dad says "Sorry,honey...letter in the mail this week...you'll see...be over before you know it."
The character that I pick is Calder. He is an adventurous, mystery type of person. My reason is because he recognized Mrs. Sharpe's name, and he dug deeper and went to her house to talk to her about the book Petra had been reading. He also saw Petra's costume was Vermeer, although she didn't know it. It had been mysterious to him, so he and Petra started a list of mysterious things.
